Fishery Report 22nd August

Despite it being very quiet on the fishing front, there has been plenty of maintenance going on around the fishery which included a big weed cut in Belmont lake at Vale End. Our weed cutting boat may look a little pre-historic but it does a fantastic job of cutting and collecting the weed. We removed 16 large piles of weed which probably equates to around 20 tractor trailer loads of weed. After the weed cut we plan to drain Belmont down the week starting 1st September and hope to have it back up and fishing at the end of September. We also plan to drain Powdermills the middle of September and have it fishing early October.

Other exciting news is that the cafe at Weston will reopen on Tuesday 26th August. Opening times will remain Tuesday to Friday, 8.30am to 2pm.

We are still only open to season and syndicate rods but hope to reinstate day tickets towards the end of September.
