Fishery Report 4th September

We are really excited to let you know that the cafe at Weston fishery is now fully open. Opening times will remain Tuesday to Friday 8.30am to 2pm. Please pop in and see our new member of staff, Maddy who is serving up some lovely food. This week as well as the usual delicious bacon baps and sausage rolls we have been serving up smoked trout fish cakes, potato and leek soup and various cakes.

On the fishery the fishing has still been very challenging but the cooler weather and rain will certainly help. We have been very busy on the fishery over the last couple of weeks with the weedboat, cutting weed in Belmont lake at Vale End as well as the carp lake at Weston. We are also draining Belmont lake down and hope to have it full and stocked in a couple of weeks, when hopefully we will open up to day ticket anglers. Please keep any eye on the website for updates on this. Next week we plan to start to drain down Powdermills lake which we will plan to reopen on October 1st.

Winter season rods that run from October 1st 2025 to the end of March 2026 will be available in the next couple of weeks on the website. It gives you access to fish Weston, Vale End and Powdermills. Late autumn, winter and early spring offer arguably the best fishing of the year, so this is a great option.
