Fishery Update 16th OCTOBER

Fishing has been rather slow again over the past week, with **121 fish caught** across the fisheries. There have still been some lovely fish landed, including some cracking big rainbow trout and some decent brown trout weighing up to **2lb 8oz**.

We’re really in need of a change in the weather now, with some much-needed rain and cooler temperatures to help kick-start the fishing.

πŸ’§ **Weston Fishery**

Water clarity is excellent at the moment, but unfortunately, the spring that feeds the lakes has dried up. We desperately need a good amount of rainfall to replenish the spring and get the water flowing again.

🍁 **Powdermills**

Water clarity is also good at Powdermills, and fishing has been reasonable since reopening after the summer. The lake is fed by the River Tillingbourne, so the incoming water flow is good.

🌿 **Vale End – Belmont Lake**

Unfortunately, Belmont Lake is currently suffering from an algal bloom, leaving the water very coloured.

Fingers crossed for some cooler weather and plenty of rain soon to freshen things up and get the fish feeding again! 🀞🌧️🎣
