Fishery Update 2nd September

Please note that Weston fishery will be closed for a private event on Saturday 5th and Monday 7th September.

We have removed an extraordinary amount of weed from Belmont Lake at Vale End — and there is still more to clear.

Once we have cleared the remaining weed, the plan is to drain the lake. The weed cutting doesn’t stop there either, as the machinery will then be heading over to Wood Lodge Pool to tackle the weed there.
Although we have finally had some cooler weather and much-needed rain, unfortunately it will take a few weeks of this weather for the lakes to recover from what has been an extremely challenging summer.

Our goal is to reopen on **October 1st**, ready for the start of our winter season.

For anyone looking to purchase a **winter season rod**, which gives fishing from October through to March, these will be available to purchase online from the middle of September.

Despite the challenging conditions, some of our season and syndicate rods have been out and have managed to catch some really nice carp, along with the odd decent trout from Kingfisher Pool.

We’re looking forward to getting everything back in shape and welcoming everyone back for the winter season. 🎣
