Fishery Update 3rd June

Please note that Weston fishery and the cafe will be closed on Friday 5th June for a private event. All other waters will be open as normal but we will be limiting day and evening membership. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

On the fishing front things have improved after last weeks extremely hot spell with some cooler weather and rain helping drop the lake water temperatures.

Weston water clarity remains very good and has fished really well. Fishing slightly more delicately with finer leader (3.5lb to 4.5lb) and small flies has been the winning formula.

Over at Vale End the lake water clarity has been poor due to an algal bloom caused by the hot weather. Hopefully this should clear in the next week or so. The river at Vale has fished well with plenty of wild and stocked fish being caught  mainly on dry fly.

At Powdermills the lake is suffering with an algal bloom and we will update you when it clears.
