FISHING REPORT FROM 21ST-27TH APRIL
With a change of weather coming in over the next few days we will almost certainly see some really good hatches of fly. Buzzers will continue to come off and we should see the start of the Mayfly hatch in the next week or so. I have also seen plenty of Alder flies, pond olives and the odd hawthorn fly. With bright and hot daytime temperatures, please consider fishing the evenings.
Last weeks catch was 311 fish from the lakes plus good numbers of fish from the river beats. Vale End and Powdermills are still showing great water clarity but Weston is suffering slightly from weed brought on from the brighter and warmer weather. We are doing our best to clear this but unfortunately we have had an issue with our weed cutting boat and are awaiting a part. Once this is fixed I will be out collecting and removing the weed.
Flies to have in your box: Buzzers, Cdc's, hares ear, ptn, mayfly nymph, dry mayfly and the ever reliable damsel pattern.
