Key Facts

Fish Tokens

A member can only fish if in possession of a valid Fish Token. Fish Tokens are not transferable or refundable. All fish removed from the water are to be taken by the member. Returning fish to the water is not allowed. Each fish caught equates to one Fish Token. Tokens can be purchased on-line and will be given to you by the Bailiffs when you visit the lakes.

Membership Cards

All members receive a Membership Card. These are bar coded and permit access to the relevant lakes. All lakes have access control gates and the cards open the gates. Membership cards are unique and not transferable.

History of the lakes

The Albury Estate trout fishing lakes were created in the late ninteen seventies, and many of them have featured the overhauling of redundant millpond areas within a valley which has been archaeologically rich in harnessing the power of water for centuries . The lakes are fed by a number of springs as well as the Tillingbourne River that runs along the South side of the North Downs in Surrey from Leith Hill and joins the River Wey near Guildford. Lakes are well stocked with Rainbow Trout from our own Estate Fish Farm and provide excellent Fly Fishing. Carp fishing as also available at Weston.
