Membership Rules
Membership
Day Membership entitles the holder access and right to fish at any day lake at the Albury Estate Fisheries Ltd, fishery for the day. Fish Tokens are available for purchase in multiples of 2, 3 or 4 tickets.
Season Membership entitles the holder access and right to fish at any day or season lake at the Albury Estate Fisheries Ltd, fishery on any day the fisheries is open.
Fish Tokens are available for purchase in multiples of 10 tickets.
Season members may bring an angler new to the fisheries as their guest, paying their day membership fee.
Membership is not transferable.
General Rules
Acceptance
Payment for membership at Albury Estate Fisheries Ltd implies that a member accepts and agrees to abide by the rules of the fisheries, which are clearly displayed on the fisheries. Ignorance of the rules is no excuse. Any angler found to be breaking or bending the rules, exceeding their permitted catch, returning fish once removed from the water or abusing membership in any way can expect to be expelled from the fisheries forfeiting membership and any monies paid.
All anglers must be in possession of at least one fish token before fishing. Fish Tokens are not transferable or refundable.
All sales are governed by the Albury Estate Fisheries Terms and Conditions.
No catch and release
All fish removed from the water are to be taken by the member. Returning fish to the water is not allowed.
Only fly fishing is permitted, droppers are not allowed, nor are tandem, double or treble hooks. Barbless hooks are permitted. Largest hook size permitted is size 10 long shank. All fishing is from the bank. No wading is allowed.
Fish Tokens
Members are guaranteed the number of fish purchased (not their weight) providing they are caught before 1st April (first day of the next fishing season). If the fish are not taken on the day of membership the member may return to the fisheries on any day they are open before April 1st providing they have valid membership for the day of fishing. Alternatively they can exchange a Fish Token for one frozen fish at the Kingfisher Farm Shop, Abinger Hammer or a fresh fish by arrangement with the Little Ford Trout Farm through the Albury Estate Office.
Lake side
Fishing starts at 8.3Oam and ends at dusk.
All anglers must sign in upon arrival and sign out when making a return. Details of each fish removed from the water must be recorded on the return slip section of a Fish Token and left in the box provided before departure. (Accurate returns are essential if the fish are to be restocked).
A fishery return card found at the notice board MUST also be completed before leaving the fishery for UNUSED FISH TOKENS TO REMAIN VALID.
With permission an angler may bring one non-fishing visitor to the fishery. The angler is responsible for ensuring that his or her companion remains either in the car park or close to him or her, and that the companion does not cause any nuisance or inconvenience to other anglers.
Anybody, without exception, caught discarding litter (especially fishing line which causes damage to wildlife), will be asked to leave.
Please take your litter home.
Liability
No responsibility is taken for any disaster that may happen to the water or the trout whereby the fishing is rendered impossible.
Fishermen and visitors enter upon Albury Estate Fisheries Ltd. fisheries entirely at their own risk. No liability attaches to the owners for any damage, injury or loss to persons or property, however caused.
Rod Licence
Under the Salmon & Freshwater Fisheries Act 1975 it is an offence to fish for trout without an Environment Agency National Rod Licence (maximum penalty £2,500). These are available from Post Offices or the Environment Agency’s website.
