Syon Park fishery will be closed in August and September 2024 for essential lake maintenance.
As the summer heat warms the water in Syon Lake, the Trout become less interested in feeding, making them harder to catch.
Meanwhile, the spring-fed waters at Albury stay cooler and the shade from the trees helps keep the Trout more comfortable, so the Albury lakes will remain open. 
As work progresses we will update the reopening date that hopefully will be before 1st October.
