Winter Season Starts

It has been quite a tough month for fishing due to the heatwave that hit in September, but we have finally experienced some relief from the unusually high temperatures. The high levels of heat led to lake temperatures of over 20 degrees in most of our lakes, which was quite uncomfortable for the trout.

However, the much cooler temperatures that we are experiencing now have greatly helped in cooling down the waters, and we are looking forward to some fantastic fishing experiences this autumn and winter.

We have some good news for all our fishing enthusiasts, as we will be opening to day members again as of this Sunday, October 1st in Albury and on Monday 2nd at Syon Park.

We took the opportunity of the past few weeks to carry out some much-needed maintenance, including lake drain downs. We are happy to inform you that Belmont lake is now fully stocked after its drain down, and is ready to offer some amazing autumn fishing experiences. We have also drained and refilled Wood Lodge Pool at Weston, and there is a chance it could be open this weekend if all goes as planned.

For our season rods looking to fish at Powder Mills, we have stocked some fresh fish into the lake, and anglers are already experiencing some good sport. The best tactics that we can recommend for the autumn would be to use small to medium-sized lures like Cats Whisker and BFD in various styles. You will also be glad to note that there have been plenty of Daddies about this autumn, and it will pay to have a few in your box and fish them either dry or wet.

If you are a winter fishing enthusiast, we are happy to inform you that the winter season rods are now available and are priced at only £135. Available on our website. With winter membership, you have access to unlimited fishing opportunities from October 1st to end of March 2024, excluding Park Syndicate. We know that the winter period sees trout at their most active, so this will be a great opportunity for you to have some amazing fishing experiences.

We are wishing you tight lines as you enjoy your fishing experiences this autumn and winter.
